 AQUAMATIC 5100
Info Nitech » Aprilie 2009 » AQUAMATIC 5100

The Aquamatic 5100 is probably the most accurate moisture meter on the market. It is based on recent research by the US Department of Agriculture and in their comparisons the new technology was about twice as accurate as one of the most commonly used grain moisture meters. In addition to moisture, the Aquamatic also determines specific weight and temperature.

Whereas previous moisture meters would need several calibrations per grain type, the Aquamatic only needs one calibration for all grains and oilseeds. And whereas previous moisture meters would need frequent calibration updates, you should never have to update the calibration in the Aquamatic. These improvements have been made possible by two important advances - the use of 150 MHz technology and the UMA (Unified Moisture Algorithm).

Superior Accuracy
Dry, wet, cold or warm samples, the Aquamatic measures moisture and specific weight with unprecedented accuracy. In tests performed by the USDA the Unified Moisture Algorithm was about twice as accurate as older moisture meters. For details, please read Applications and Performance.

Accurate Results on Fresh Field Samples
Older moisture meters read up to 1 % too low in moisture when analyzing grain straight from the field (known as the rebound effect), as they only measure the surface of the kernel. The result is that the trader pays a too high price. The USDA research clearly established that the 150 MHz technology significantly reduces the rebound effect and gives the true moisture content rather than the surface moisture content.

No calibration updates necessary
The calibration is based on nearly 7,000 samples collected over 7 crop years thereby removing the need for costly and time-consuming calibration updates.

Rapid and fully automatic operation
Select the product and pour the sample. The Aquamatic starts automatically and displays and prints the results 10 seconds later. With no manual steps the risk for mistakes is removed. For the grain trader the speed means that trucks are not kept waiting.

One calibration for all products
Whereas previous moisture meters would sometimes need 6 different calibrations for wheat or 4 different calibrations for barley, the Aquamatic needs only one calibration for all products. This is thanks to the use of UMA (Unified Moisture Algorithm) calibration technology; wheat, corn, barley, soybeans, rapeseed/canola, rice, pulses etc. – all are analyzed with the same calibration. The Aquamatic comes pre-calibrated from factory and is ready to use right out of the box.

Integrated printer
Get an immediate receipt of the analysis results, for documentation or as a ticket to the grain supplier.

On-board data storage
All results are stored on the integrated flash memory. They are easily downloaded to a computer.

Barcode reader-ready
Use a barcode reader for sample ID entry to speed up work and eliminate the risk for incorrect data entry
