The Patent protected Unispear system offers the following UNIQUE features.
Gravity fed sampling feature offering a truly representative sample over a wide range of loose products. Consistent, repeatable sample volumes achievable as the Unispear is entering and exiting the load being sampled. Adjustable tip aperture allowing sample volumes to be easily adjusted to suit different products and sample requirements. This feature is particularly beneficial in reducing the waste of large samples whilst maintaining
a true representation of the full load. High levels of consistency and accuracy can be
achieved from small samples reducing process time and waste. In an increasingly demanding market environment where cost effective, accurate and consistently representative sampling is paramount the unique Unispear system has
been developed to meet the stringent requirements of current and proposed EU legislation.

Multi Range of Products can be Sampled
The CS90 and Patented Unispear system is unique in its capability of being able to accurately sample, without modification, a range of dry powders and flour, small seeds such as oilseed rape and linseed, plus cereals, maize, sorghum, soya beans, rice, pulses and animal feed pellets up to 16mm x 30mm.
Fully Automatic Sampling Sequence
Using the simple setting procedures a customised set of sequences from 3 to 15 sampling
positions can be devised and saved by the operator to suit varying specifications of delivery
vehicles. This ensures accurate consistent sampling analysis in full accordance with ISO
13690:1999 (E) for full load sizes from 5 tonnes to 500 tonnes.
Variable Sample Volumes Collected
By selecting option '1-2' on the Joystick
Control Unit allows the operator to take samples on either the ascent motion of the Unispear or the full descent and ascent of the cycle. This feature when used in conjunction with the adjustable aperture in the tip of the Unispear ensures an accurate representative sample can be achieved from the full range of product sizes throughout a full load.
Clear Reception Chamber for Collected
Samples
The stainless steel cyclone Reception Chamber is fitted with a clear storage tube giving
immediate visual inspection of individual loads, identifying problem loads quickly and efficiently. The efficient cyclone reception system allows dust particles to drop into the Reception Chamber without restricting the airflow or the need for costly air filtration units.
Angle Detection The Angle Detection is a feature that applies only when sampling is required on the ascent motion of the Unispear. This safeguard feature ensures that the Airflow System will only activate and extract the sample once the arm of the machine head has reached its horizontal position. This ensures that lorries loaded with potentially mixed quality product, where dust and debris could settle to the bottom of the load during transportation are accurately sampled.
Precise and Accurate Sample Extraction
The 'patented' Spear design allows the sample to enter the Spear Tip under 'gravity' therefore allowing accurate, consistent and representative samples to be taken.
Bottom of Load Detection
This is a sensing device used in conjunction with the '1-2' feature on the Joystick Control Unit. If '1' is selected the Unispear descends into the load, (at this point no sample is being taken) When the bottom of the load is detected by a pressure sensor the air flow is activated with an automatic speed controlled ascent of the Unispear which now collects the sample on the full ascent. This feature guarantees a truly representative sample from the full depth of the load being tested and limits the volume of product waste from the test procedure.
Automatic Park
This function can be operated at any time so that the arm automatically returns to its fixed
parked position, ensuring the safety of operatives and protecting the machinery.
Dual Lane Operation
When installed in the centre of a dual lane operation, the central park facility allows fast and
efficient sampling to take place from vehicles in either lane, therefore greatly reducing traffic
congestion
Simplicity
The entire system is very easy to operate and control. Pictorial labelling makes the instructions clear and understandable for operators regardless of their nationality and language.
